Hello, I’m Scott Kendall, the owner of StandardWraps™ vehicle wrap center. First of all allow me to say thank you for your interest in my company. Secondly, let me tell you a little about me and how StandardWraps™ came to be.

Let’s jump into the way back machine and travel back in time roughly 35 years ago. I was a high school teenager who was given an incredible opportunity to work in the art department at a Fortune 500 company that supplied athletic equipment and apparel to every level of sports from professional to college to high school and little league teams. I started as a part time, after school employee but quickly transitioned to a full time position. The job was a great experience and opportunity that taught me so many lessons that have carried through to today.

Following that experience I joined a friend in his local sign business where we focused on the design, creation, and installation of all types of business signage and vehicle graphics.

I eventually opened my own shop focused on signs, vehicle graphics, and screen printed apparel.

At this point I had been in the industry for roughly 10+ years. Due to changing situations and needs in my life I sold my business and went to work in the public safety sector. During my time in public safety I would still return to the sign, print, and graphics industry from time to time to assist and work as needed.

In 2023 I retired from public safety. While sitting on the couch was fun I soon found that I needed something to focus on and work towards. In addition, I was quickly informed that I was at home way too much for my family’s liking, haha, so I decided that it was time to put on pants and get back into the workforce.

I jumped back into the industry that had always been a passion of mine and began working with a friend’s business where I focused on the design and installation of commercial vehicle wraps.

I quickly saw a need, in our local business community, for a shop that focused primarily on commercial vehicle wrap branding, design, and installation. I took the leap, found a building, and opened my own shop in Opelika, Alabama.

While business was good I just didn’t feel like I was reaching the community or achieving the goals that I had set for my business. So after assessing my own business brand I decided that change was needed. I joined with an old friend and partner (who had remained in the industry while I was gone) and we set out to rename and rebrand the business while focusing on fine tuning our own customer experience. During this process StandardWraps™ was born and our business quickly took off in the manner that I had always envisioned.

Now it is 2024 and StandardWraps™ is rapidly becoming one of the premiere branding, design, and installation wrap shops. While our focus is still on commercial and fleet vehicle wraps we constantly find ourselves taking on other projects to include boats, trailers, UTV’s, and wall and window graphics, along with other small signage jobs.

I am passionate about helping local businesses maximize their advertising potential and increase their community visibility through the vehicle wrap process. I look forward to helping as many businesses as possible while watching my own business grow with them.
